I am an experienced litigation attorney and have practiced in a wide range of areas of the law. Prior to coming to Arizona in July 2020, I was a partner at a small, rural Minnesota law firm where I handled breach of contract, employment, real estate, child protection, criminal defense, and many other case types. Over my career, I have represented clients in numerous jury trials, court trials, arbitration hearings, and mediations. I have filed appeals in both Minnesota and Arizona. During my practice in Arizona, I have guided numerous clients through business disputes, employment lawsuits, and commercial litigation.

However, my goal is to put my clients in the best position to reach their goals while providing excellent and cost-effective representation. Each client has their own background, risk tolerance, and financial capacity for litigation and all of these issues and more are taken into account in forming a litigation plan with my clients.

I attended law school at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. After law school, I worked at a large, downtown Minneapolis law firm on complex class action employment cases but realized that was not the practice for me. I enjoy working on a personal basis with each of my clients.

I have enjoyed being able to also volunteer in my communities. I have volunteered as a Special Olympics coach, tax preparer, Board Member of a YMCA, and helped coach my kids' sports teams.

Outside of practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my wife and five kids and being outside during the "winter" months here in Arizona. I also like to watch a good movie or tv show as well as play and watch many different sports, including football, basketball, and tennis. I also have a sweet tooth and love to bake.

I am an experienced attorney and have practiced in contract, business, and intellectual property over the more than 10 years I have been an attorney. My objective is to provide clients with high quality representation of great value.

I attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in BioResource and Agricultural Engineering. I have 10 years of experience as a Civil Engineer throughout the southwest United States including Arizona and Southern California.

I attended Arizona Summit Law School while still working as an engineer. Upon gaining acceptance to the Arizona Bar, I worked as an in-house intellectual property attorney. I also spent a few years as a patent consultant and trademark attorney for a private local firm. My most recent intellectual property work included working as a contractor for a large-scale retailer protecting the intellectual property rights of the platform and its vendors.

In my spare time I enjoy family time, attending my sons’ sporting events and coaching part-time. My family and I enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather by fishing, camping and dirt biking around the state.

I have been with Fortify Legal Solutions since late 2024.
